• Community Advocacy: Ted played a crucial role in reopening Station 68 after its brownout in 2011, ensuring that our communities continue to receive excellence in public safety
• Youth Engagement: Ted is a strong supporter and active volunteer at our annual Kids’ Camp, where local children have the opportunity to learn about the life of a fire fighter and the importance of community service.
• Financial Stewardship: Serving on the Finance and Audit Committee, Ted has helped oversee a Finance Department that has been recognized with multiple industry awards for transparency and excellence in financial reporting.
• Public Safety Initiatives: Under Ted's leadership, our fire marshal has successfully removed over 9,000 pounds of illegal fireworks from our communities each of the last two years, significantly enhancing public safety.
• Visionary Leadership: Ted is committed to ensuring the long-term success of Metro Fire by engaging in long-term planning and exploring innovative service delivery methods that will keep our communities safe and well-served in the future.
